emilyrsutton: I am a meteorologist, storm chaser, and journalist for KFOR/KAUT-TV in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I cover weather extremes...from record blizzards to tornado outbreaks. I love meeting people and getting involved with the community. In the past 4 years living in OKC I've had the honors of singing the National Anthem for the NBA's OKC Thunder (THUNDER UP!) twice and covering the Oklahoma State Space Cowboys in zero gravity! I started this blog to write about my journey to the finish line of my first half Ironman Triathlon. Through this experience with Team in Training, I not only crossed the finish line in September 2011 but also raised thousands of dollars for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Now I am hooked on triathlons and plan on doing my FIRST FULL IRONMAN in Arizona November 2014 in an effort to raise $200,000 for the Go Mitch Go Foundation. Please donate towards the fight against all blood and bone cancers! I thank God for all the opportunities he has provided in my life and for the support of wonderful friends and family.
